What Tennis Offers:

Tennis Sanitation, L.L.C. is seeking a full-time, year-round, Residential Route Driver to join our family-owned and operated business. We are a local trash and recycling hauler that has proudly served the Southeast Metro for over 57 years. Full-Time: Monday – Friday $28.00/hr. – $30.00/hr. Starting Pay (Saturdays only after a major holiday falls during the work week; i.e. Thanksgiving)

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a minimum Class B CDL with no airbrake restriction.
  • Valid CDL Medical Card.
  • Driver must pass DOT drug screen.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Navigate routes according to printed route sheets.
  • Safely operate trucks on roadways and in residential areas.
  • Have a positive attitude and good communication skills when dealing with customers and/or the public.
  • Ability to work in various and changing weather conditions, as well as exposure to some fumes and odors.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including pushing, pulling, bending and lifting objects.

Diesel Mechanic

Starting Pay: $40.00 – $43.00/hour to start, overtime after 40 hours.

Job Type: Full Time

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. Exception: Required to work Saturday only when a major Holiday falls during the work week. (i.e. Thanksgiving)

Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Safely perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks to help avoid equipment failures. Maintenance includes repair of engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspensions, chassis, wheels/tires and driveline
  • Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
  • Collaborate with the team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
  • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
  • Make service calls for repairs, or to swap out equipment on routes
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
  • Good decision-making, problem-solving, attention to detail and customer service skills

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of heavy mechanic background preferred
  • Preference given if you have a valid CDL with airbrake endorsement, or the willingness to obtain
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull up to 80lbs., without restrictions
  • Preference given if you have a current DOT Inspection Certificate, or the willingness to obtain
  • ASE Diesel Certification or Diesel Tech Degree is a plus, but not required
  • Must have your own tools
  • Diagnostic and after treatment knowledge required
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen.

Recycling Sorter

Job Type: Full-Time | Day Shift

Job Summary

Recycling Sorters are responsible for ensuring quality control by manually sorting recyclable materials and removing non-acceptable items from the recycling line. This role is essential in producing clean, marketable recyclables that meet mill and broker standards. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Schedule & Pay Information

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday – Friday, starting at 6:00 AM until the daily work is completed

  • Typical end times:
    • Monday–Wednesday: approximately ending at 4:00–4:30 PM
    • Thursday–Friday: approximately ending at 2:30 PM
  •  End times may vary based on workload and are not guaranteed

Saturdays: Required only when a major holiday falls during the workweek (e.g., Thanksgiving week)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Report to the conveyor line ready to work at 6:00 AM each scheduled day
  • Hand-sort recyclable materials using both hands to maintain efficiency and product quality
  • Identify, remove, and separate unacceptable or non-recyclable materials from the line
  • Place sorted materials into designated areas according to facility guidelines
  • Maintain consistent attendance and remain on-site until the shift is completed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, remaining alert to machinery, trucks, and mobile equipment at all times
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including company-provided Class 2 high-visibility apparel, hard hat, and appropriate footwear
  • Assist with cleaning work areas, floors, and surrounding spaces during temporary facility shutdowns or downtime
  • Follow company cell phone policy while on the clock

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing and working on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Exposure to dirt, recyclables, odors, noise, and varying weather conditions
  • Work performed around moving equipment and machinery in an industrial environment

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding job
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish between different recyclable materials
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Candidates must pass a background check and present acceptable documents to verify authorization to work in the U.S.
