Single Stream Recycling

What is single stream recycling?
Single stream recycling allows both residential and commercial customers to place all accepted recyclables into one bin. There’s no need to sort by material type. This type of mixed recycling increases convenience and makes it easier for more households to use our recycling services regularly.
What are the benefits of a single stream system?
By simplifying the recycling process, participation increases, more materials are recovered, and less waste ends up in landfills. It’s an efficient approach to curbside recycling service that benefits the entire community.
How is single stream waste sorted?
Tennis Recycling, L.L.C. processes all single stream materials using a state-of-the-art sorting system. This facility is built around the needs of our service communities and is designed to identify, separate, and prepare all accepted items into reusable raw materials.
How does it work?
Once collected, materials are delivered to our recycling facility in St. Paul Park, MN, where they are sorted and processed as part of our single stream recycling system.
Tips for curbside recycling
To keep your curbside recycling service running smoothly, please follow these simple guidelines:
- Be sure to put your materials out by 6am on your normal trash day.
- Please prepare materials correctly and only include items accepted through our program. Including additional materials makes processing more costly.
- Please avoid breaking glass! Glass shards are difficult to sort by color, and even more difficult to market.
- Place all your recyclables loosely into your cart.No need to bag, except for shredded paper and linens.

Commercial Customers
We offer commercial single sort and cardboard-only recycling services for businesses. For more details about commercial pickup, container sizes, and scheduling, visit our Commercial Services page!
